The PE plastic screw-top jar with sealing lid is a rigid polyethylene container approved for foodstuffs. Its screw cap includes a tamper-evident ring that visibly breaks the first time it is unscrewed.

PE screw-cap jars can be used for a wide range of fill products: powders, granules, dry or paste-like preparations. These plastic jars are easy to stack — the slight recess in the lid stops them from sliding.

All three sizes share the same diameter (95 mm) and the same wide opening (80 mm): only the height changes. You can mix sizes in the same cupboard without losing stacking stability, and use the same dosing spoon in all three.

How to use

Before first use, rinse the jar and lid in lukewarm water, then dry thoroughly. Any residual moisture degrades oxidation-sensitive powders — vitamin C first and foremost.

Fill to the nominal volume (250, 500 or 1000 ml), not to the brim: the brim-full volume shown in the table is a maximum geometric capacity, not a working fill level.

Screw the lid down until it stops. The tamper-evident ring breaks on first opening: this is normal, and the jar reseals perfectly afterwards.

Yes. The jar and its lid are approved for foodstuffs: they can hold powders, granules or preparations intended for consumption directly, with no intermediate packaging.

It is a security ring attached to the lid. It visibly breaks the first time the jar is unscrewed. As long as it is intact, you know the jar has never been opened. Once broken, the jar reseals normally and the lid still seals.

The nominal volume (250, 500 or 1000 ml) is the working capacity the jar is designed to be filled to. The brim-full volume (430, 650 and 1072 ml) is the total geometric capacity measured to the top of the neck. The difference is the headspace needed to screw the lid on without overflowing.

It depends on the density of the powder. For our vitamin C powders, allow roughly 0.5 g per ml: about 125 g in the 250 ml, 250 g in the 500 ml and 500 g in the 1000 ml at nominal volume. A denser or compacted powder will hold more.

Yes. The lid has a slight recess that the base of the jar above sits into, so the stack does not slide. All three sizes share the same 95 mm diameter and therefore stack interchangeably.

Yes. Polyethylene withstands washing in lukewarm water with mild soap. Avoid boiling water, high-temperature dishwasher cycles and solvents. Dry completely before refilling, especially for a moisture-sensitive powder.
